About We Train Any Dog
WeTrainAnyDog uses the philosophy that the relationship between the dog and the owner is one built on mutual trust and respect. As a species, dogs want nothing more but to please their owners and all we want as humans is to give our dogs the best life possible. Where it often breaks down is in the details and the obvious language barrier. WTAD do all we can to bridge that communication gap by providing the knowledge to the owner and the building blocks for the dog.
WTAD trainers have taken the best bits from some of the world’s leading trainers and adapted a teaching style and curriculum that is flexible enough to cater to the individual human/canine partnership. We understand that no two humans are the same and no two dogs are either. We have a training plan and schedule that can be tailored to meet your needs.
We don’t consider ourselves as ‘dog trainers’ but as ‘dog training instructors’. YOU are the dog trainer, YOU will be encouraged and empowered to train your dog, we will instruct you. We are an educational facility that focus’ on creating better dog owners who have better dogs…. FOR LIFE.
About Mark
Mark is originally from the cold northeast of England where he grew up having many pets in both the immediate family home and the extended family. He was always fascinated by wildlife and the natural world so started studying zoology as an adult and obtained several qualifications in natural sciences including a degree in zoological behaviours. Initially wary of dogs as a child, he grew to love them as he himself grew up and has owned many different breeds down the years.
It was one such dog that led him to his trainer and mentor, Heather Stevens who formally owned WTAD in North Yorkshire. Originally being told how difficult Beagles are to train he was undeterred and soon had Bentley jumping through hoops…literally.
Mark worked alongside Heather as an assistant trainer, and it soon became apparent that there was an underlying love and natural aptitude for dog training. He was able to combine his academic achievements with leadership and instructional skills learnt during his time in the armed forces and developed his own style of dog training instruction.
Mark has worked with a lot of the country’s top dog trainers and has continued to learn and develop as a result.
He gained a variety of professional qualifications including Advanced Canine Behaviour from the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training (CIDBT). Mark is also recognised by the Guild of Dog Trainers (GoDT) and is a qualified Dog Trainer with this organisation. He has recently started to add canine nutrition to his skill set as studies have shown how diet and behaviour are intrinsically linked.
“We need to be more aware of what we are feeding our dogs and what goes into their diets. We all know the importance of a good diet and a healthy lifestyle for ourselves so why are we not applying the same logic to our four-legged family members”
Mark has trained countless dogs over the years, has helped many owners with their dogs from puppy basics right up to some very advanced skills and is very experienced with dealing with behavioural rehabilitation and managing difficult issues.
Now living in the south of England for a number of years he has continued to work with dogs and their owners and is keen to impart his knowledge to those who want what’s best for their dogs. Mark lives in Andover with his partner and their 2 dogs, Stanley the Labrador and Grayson the Weimaraner.

About My Pack
Grayson is a 3 year old Weimaraner who is the absolute star of the show. Grayson is so named not because of his colour as many would think, but as a Batman reference. Batman has a sidekick, Robin, who is Dick Grayson’s alter ego. Put all of that together and you will definitely find Mark’s true sidekick and a friend who has been at his side, unwavering, through thick and thin. Grayson is fantastic in group classes and loves to show off to young puppies and there handlers by demonstrating what can be achieved by good leadership and consistent training. A hunter not only in breed but also in functional character means that Grayson has a to do list as long as your arm, has an appetite that is never satisfied. Although he doesn’t do well walking to on a lead, he more than makes up for that with a text book recall so maybe we can forgive him for the occasional tug of impatience.
